Welcome

Welcome to my website where I hope that you will be able to gain a sense of the services that I provide and my approach to working with clients. This site remains under construction and I appreciate your patience as I work towards adding information that can be useful to you, and updating the platform so that you could more easily view it on your mobile device.

I am a clinical psychologist and work with children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is in downtown Pleasanton in the East Bay area of Northern California. I provide psychotherapy, psychological testing, and consultation services. Although I work with people with a wide array of life difficulties, I specialize in mental health therapies and assessment for children with special needs. This includes pediatric medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, chronic pain, cancer) and neurodevelopmental differences like autism, learning disabilities, and ADHD.

If you are interested in therapy, you should know that I am committed to treatment that works and stay up to date on research about effective treatment. There are many different treatments out there. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral (CBT), insight-oriented, interpersonal, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral (DBT) techniques depending on the concerns and goals you have. If you decide that therapy with me is the right fit, together we will also decide how treatment would proceed. My primary mode of working with people is within a one-one therapeutic relationship, however I also require involvement of parents when treating of minors. This may be in the form of parent consultation, collaborative treatment planning, and occasional family sessions. I am also trained in the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Experiences (SPACE) program for parents.

If you are interested in psychological testing, I provide a collaborative neuropsychological approach to assessment for learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional struggles, autism, ADHD, and nonverbal learning disability. This includes establishing documentation needed to obtain accommodations for standardized tests, such as the SATs, GREs, LSAT, etc., supporting educational placement and planning, and supporting regional center eligibility. I also complete independent education evaluations (IEE). I also provide diagnostic psychological evaluations for mental health problems, such as for purposes of clarifying diagnosis to inform treatment directions.
